I was reading a PR article and one that caught my eye today was the newly minted debut of Ad Market Place.

Their selling point in the article, as quoted by adMarketplace CEO Jamie Hill was “pubMarketplace is a great alternative for publishers who are forced to choose between declining Google yields and running CPA ads.”

True enough AdSense we’re restricted to display ads, search boxes, link ads and such, but adMarketplace has something new. That is the tag clouds ads. Well nothing innovative there, but still its different eh.

Well I don’t know about AdSense “declining Google yields”, but so far for me, it has been a steady increasing figure in my AdSense income these few months. Thank god signs of the economy recovering is on its way. Yay!

Anyway Ad Market Place has three main publisher tools, the Ad Tag Cloud, Search Box, and Text Ad Box. These can be used to generate revenue for publishers, while at the same time enhance user experience.

• The Ad Tag Cloud places contextually-relevant keywords in an ad unit on the page, allowing users to view a selection of offers by rolling over a keyword or phrase. This leads to high conversion rates for advertisers, while enhancing the user experience offered by publishers.
• The Search Box pubTool enables publishers to monetize type-in queries without losing the user traffic to a search engine. pubMarketplace’s Search Result Page overlays the publisher content in the same browser. This allows users to interact with the results, and then return to the site.
• The Text Ad Box pubTool contains multiple relevant text ads in a single ad unit. Like all pubTools, the Text Ad Box is offered with IAB-standard or custom dimensions, and its color and size can be customized to maximize user engagement.

Well do check them out, I’ve yet to try them myself. I might just register to find out how they work in detail. That entry on another time.
