Spam and Porn on Twitter

Is it just me or there’s an increasing trend of porn and spam on Twitter.

It’s not surprising of course, considering, Twitter is the ‘in’ thing currently.

In its earlier heydays, there was a time when nobody gives a hoot about it.

But now, everyone and anyone I know is on Twitter.

There’s a good and bad side to it of course.

Yes you’ll get followed, you increase your authority on your niche, yada yada yada, but I won’t be surprised too if one-quarter of your followers are actually Twitter bots of spams and porn.

Expect identity theft for Twitter on the rise too. I myself once got my Twitter account ‘hijacked’.

The hijacked Twitter tweeted porn related stuff like getting three inch girth. WTF right!

Well I learned my lesson and changed to a stronger password, that stopped them for now.

So if you’ve a Twitter account, take care of it, ensure the passwords are alpha-numeric, and lastly don’t spam yourself.

I got another Twitter account which was revoked due to being too much ‘commercial’ in my Tweets.
